New growth in Xi'an shows industry's health
It's inspiring to be part of a dynamic business sector in a city on the rise. Dramatic activity continues in Xi'an, a technology and academic center that is our BPO processing base. The latest project is a "New Software City" business park for IT developers and support services, planned in an area covering more than two square miles (5.7 square kilometers).
Xi'an increasingly gains international attention as a National High-Technology Development Zone and National Service Outsourcing Base, which brings government investments in construction, telecommunications, training and marketing. Five Fortune 500 corporations -- including Denso, Rockwell and Yum Brands -- have established IT centers in Xi'an.
Growth of the outsourcing and IT hubs are propelled partly by "the scale and growth of the Chinese economy, according to Zigeng Wang, director of Xi'an Software Park. In a recent news release, he explains: "China is not only an established valuable IT service supplier, but also an important consumer for various IT services, and we want to be the gateway to help those entrepreneurs access the dynamic Chinese market."
We're also on the rise at CompuPacific. To assure smooth scalability as economic activity continues to revive globally, our production center is now at a five-floor office center with space for 1,800 work stations. Details of our move are in the CPI News section below.
As early business process outsourcing pioneers in Xi'an, we are especially uplifted to be part of the ongoing expansion.
