Tradition continues at Global Sourcing Summit

We're preparing to welcome outsourcing executives from around the world to Xi'an this fall, as CPI and others have done since 2004. The technology and business hub in central China is hosting the sixth annual China Global Sourcing Summit, a Nov. 10-11 conference for BPO and ITO providers, clients, analysts, consultants, academic specialists, trade association leaders and government representatives. This year's theme is "New Opportunities for the Changing World."

CPI is a summit participant and host of a pre-conference tour at Xi'an Software Park, site of our production and training center. We're also a member of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals, an event co-sponsor with two national government ministries.

This extends support for a pioneering conference I helped coordinate when our sector was emerging and China's largest event of its type was the BPO International Forum in Xi'an, the original name. It has been gratifying to deliver presentations, to see the summit grow and to help the city gain recognition. Participants this year will hear about an expanding call center sector in Xi'an and a new Software BPO College designed to strengthen workforce development there.

Next month's newsletter will have more details about our roles at the 2009 industry gathering. Our leadership team looks forward to strengthening business relationships and developing new contacts.
