Site of Our Production Center Gains Attention
Location is a vital ingredient for delivering top-quality BPO services cost-effectively. CPI clients have benefited for more than 10 years from our main production center’s location in Xi’an Software Park, part of a technology and university hub in western China. Advantages of this global outsourcing center were described recently during a three-city U.S. tour by a Xi’an delegation that included government officials, Larry Pei of CompuPacific and others. The trade mission visited California’s Silicon Valley, Chicago and New York Jing Zhao, Vice Director of the Xi'an High-Tech Zone, told American executives that more than 800,000 students attend the 30 universities in Xi’an, which is China’s third-largest academic center after Beijing and Shanghai. Over 10,000 students earn master’s and doctoral degrees in the city each year, Zhao added, according to a news release. Delegation members also spoke about workforce stability, robust telecommunications capabilities, intellectual property rights protections and other legal safeguards adopted by China to make the business climate more attractive to international companies. Agreements negotiated earlier were signed with Applied Materials, Honeywell, Citibank and two other companies during the tour. As business resources in Xi’an gain wider recognition, we are proud to be among its earliest providers of business process outsourcing. Well-established training and recruiting relationships with several universities in the city support CPI’s expansion of vertically integrated solutions for the banking, financial services and insurance industry.
