Lessons from a distressing time
Global and domestic business activities throughout China have continued generally without disruption during the past month of mourning and assistance for victims of the Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan Province . But the catastrophe is a solemn reminder of what's precious, what's fragile and what's out of our control.

Beyond the profound compassion come practical thoughts about guidance to be applied from this tragedy. While our operations in Beijing and Xi'an were not affected, hundreds of small financial institutions in Sichuan are struggling to recover data. Some rural credit cooperatives didn't have backup electronic records stored outside the quake area. “For those who don't, it will be very difficult for them to resume operations any time soon,” said Liao Qiang of Standard & Poor's Ratings Services, according to a news report .

While no safeguards can prevent business disruption from a natural disaster such as the May 12 quake, CompuPacific regularly updates recovery plans that include backup off-site facilities and multiple telecommunication providers. We plan to open a second production center to add redundancy to our operations, as well as to serve domestic clients.

Amid a national focus on relief and reconstruction, CPI is among business of all sizes that are proud to maintain uninterrupted service and reflect a commitment to preparedness, reliability and resilience.

Rapid development of China’s offshore outsourcing industry creates opportunity for U.S. citizens with a spirit of adventure, a willingness to learn Mandarin and some business smarts. Rapidly growing China BPO company hits global headlines
April 21, 2008, Forbes

CompuPacific International, a premier provider of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solutions from China, will be featured in the May issue of Fortune magazine on a "Global Outsourcing 100" list. That recognition by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) is among a series of honors for CompuPacific during its 10th anniversary year.

The company also earned placement on a Global Services 100 list, compiled annually by Global Services Media and the neoIT consulting firm, and is among the Top 50 Chinese outsourcing companies ranked by Chinasourcing Co., Ltd., an industry group. "

I am delighted by our performance. These results, especially the award by the IAOP, put us firmly in the league of companies such as IBM and Accenture," said Michael Liu, founder and CEO of CompuPacific International (CPI). "This is part of a remarkable year for our company. I'm very proud of my team."

These latest industry honors reinforce CPI's reputation as a leader in sourcing and management of vertically integrated business and technology services from China. The awards come as the company expands onshore client services to Europe with its newest office in Liverpool, UK. That base, which gives CPI a presence on four continents, reflects closer business and economic relationships between the European Union and China.

CompuPacific has comprehensive vertical industry experience serving corporate and government clients in North America, Australia, and China from a 24-hour production center in a technology development hub of western China. The company serves the health care, finance, government, manufacturing, marketing, legal and publishing fields with customized services reflecting detailed knowledge of Western business practices.
